A good update!

Often when I read a health update, I hold my breath, praying it is good news before I click on it.
Hopefully the title of this post showed up in your inbox and I saved you the breath.
But truly, we know it has been awhile (6 whole months!) since we have updated here. And honestly, it has kind of been nice to let conversations and updates around my health take a back seat.
But, we know it's been awhile, so here is an update with two encouraging things.
First, back in November, I had a CT Scan to check for cancer recurrence, and by God's kindness, the scan was good. Even typing that, my heart palpitates thinking of the fear that accompanies us to each scan and appointment. And then I sigh a breath of relief and thankfulness of where we are today. I actually just had the courage to open my tumor marker results today -- Also good, and within range. We are grateful.
Second, yesterday Jonathan and I drove up to Greenville, where I received my 6th and final TLPO Vaccine! It felt a little surreal, driving as I thought back to 1 year earlier, so soon after surgery, and receiving dose #1.
In reflecting, here are a few thoughts: God has been faithful to us over this last year. -- And really over the last three years. -- And really, over our lives. And really over the whole world, for all time. His generosity, amidst the brokenness of our world is undeniable, and we get to see glimpses of his kingdom coming. I long to believe more deeply, through all of life's circumstances-- not just cancer-- this truth: "If God is for you, who can be against you? He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:31)
So that is our ask in prayer from you -- Pray that God will strengthen us all to believe that God is for us, gave us Christ, and is at work, bringing wholeness and redemption. -- As our pastor will often say in concluding sermons "Beloved, don't you want that? Let's ask him for it."

Amen! Glory to God!! Celebrating with you as we eagerly await the return of King Jesusto rule and reign in the new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells 🙏.
