October 16th is here!

Good morning, everyone! Today is surgery day. Kelly and I got to Emory around 5:30 this morning, met with the full care team, and I got to give her a big hug and "see you later" at 7:30 before she was whisked away for the procedure.

Thank you for praying for us, and please continue! I expect to get (very breif) updates from the nursing staff every 2 hours or so, and am praying that things will be wrapped up this afternoon and that I'll get to see Kelly around 7 pm.

I'll post updates as it makes sense. Just wanted to check in.

PS - we do have a meal train and I will plan on sharing that here as well (fortunately, we won't really need meals this week while Kelly is in the hospital).

PPS - enjoy these pictures from early this morning and another from breakfast yesterday. Kelly's requested final meal yesterday (for the next few days) was Bellwood coffee - shocker! ;)
